A Letter to Lido Cornetto

Dear Gelato Mind,

Here I am, today. Deciding to start a blog. I have no idea what I'm doing or where I'm going with this. I just know I wanted to write. No, I needed to write. About what? Honestly, no idea. I guess just a letter to myself. A letter that I'm pulling out of my head and make it reality.

I was sitting down quietly with coffee in hand thinking about the future? Yes, future. If we can call it that. Fine, fine, I was once again daydreaming about my favorite place ever.

Italy

Somewhere mid-thinking or drinking or anything, I will casually drop one thing about Italy. Most likely one time too many. I wasn't born there. I fell in love with it. The rituals, the slow living, the rhythm. Taking time to enjoy life even the most meaningless things made me fall in love with the country.

Yes, I want to wed over there. Yes, I also want my honeymoon over there. Yes, I would like to retire over there as well. No, I don't speak Italian. Ma it's una lingua molto romantica. There's nothing I love more than seeing Italians speaking. They talk way too fast, but every word has a rhythm slower than my heartbeat. And the hand gestures (I'm melting).

I'll probably talk about Italy a lot. Probably way too much... Probably one time too many. I'm just impressed. Let's not forget the architecture, art, villages, culture, fashion and of course, Men. Italian Men (hmmmmm). Just the thought of it is making me dwell.

I happen to love this country a lot. Maybe too much. I should be ashamed of it all, but I'm just proud. It brings me so much joy.

All this to say, Italy is one of my biggest sources of inspiration in the fashion and beauty industry. In the dating world and in general life.

Lido Cornetto

It took a while to decide whether I wanted to share my taste publicly or put it all in writing. Well, I opted for the second option as it looks more viable for me long term. Fashion, beauty, lifestyle, the aesthetics industry as a whole has always been a passion of mine.

I'm obsessed with weird little rituals. Finding the right ingredients. Not because they are wellness friendly. Simply because they bring me joy. Trying them brings me smile.

I see the entire aesthetic industry as art. Choosing the beauty products that match the skin type and tone in itself is a form of art. Creating a makeup look is another form of art that can inspire others. Choosing the right outfit for whatever mood or moment is a form of art. Even something as basic as choosing what I'd like to drink is an art. There are many options, somehow, I have to choose the one my mood is feeling. Translating that thought process makes it art.

There's more to say, but I'll stop here for now.
